The groups want to further improve cyber hygiene this year.
Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), with the Bankers Association of the Philippines (BAP) and the Bank Marketing Association of the Philippines (BMAP), collectively aims to bolster their initiatives through the “Check-Protect-Report” (CPR), an information campaign to promote cyber hygiene more actively this year.
Cyber hygiene habits are practices and steps to safeguard online security.
The CPR communication campaign intends to remind the public to guard themselves against online scams.
Bankero, BSP Governor Felipe M. Medalla said in line with the BSP’s push to encourage Filipino consumers to digitize their financial transaction, the central bank needs to push for the habit of practicing good cyber hygiene.
To match BSP’s cybersecurity awareness drive, the promotion of cyber hygiene practices were started in 2020.
