BPI Wealth taps BlackRock tech to future-proof P2 trillion portfolio

BPI Wealth, the asset and wealth management arm of Ayala-led Bank of the Philippine Islands, has selected BlackRock’s Aladdin investment technology as it seeks to strengthen its portfolio management and advisory capabilities.

The platform will allow BPI Wealth to integrate risk analytics, portfolio management tools and operational workflows into a single system, helping it manage multi-asset portfolios and provide investment insights across clients’ onshore and offshore managed portfolios.

BPI Wealth president and CEO Maria Theresa Marcial said the adoption of Aladdin was part of the company’s push to bring its wealth management capabilities in line with global standards.

“As client expectations evolve and markets become more complex, we recognize the need for institutional-grade technology to support tailored solutions for high-net-worth individuals, families, and institutional investors,” Marcial said.

“Through Aladdin, we are building a stronger foundation to deliver differentiated solutions, deepen client relationships, and expand our capabilities across both traditional and alternative investments,” she added.

BlackRock’s Aladdin platform is used by financial institutions globally to support investment and risk management processes. BPI Wealth will use both Aladdin Enterprise and Aladdin Wealth as part of its technology upgrade.

“Clients are increasingly seeking cross-border investments with rising expectations for consistency, transparency, and operational resilience,” said James Verner, BlackRock’s head of APAC Business Development for Aladdin.

“By bringing Aladdin Enterprise and Aladdin Wealth into a connected ecosystem, they can better equip their teams to deliver more personalized client experiences at scale,” Verner said.

BPI Wealth is the Philippines’ largest standalone trust corporation, with P2.045 trillion in assets under management as of June 2026.
