The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) has partnered with the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) – Regional Office XI to promote financial education and improve financial literacy among professionals in Davao City.
On January 17, 2025, BPI held a financial wellness session for PRC personnel and selected professionals, providing them with practical tools and strategies to make informed financial decisions. Led by BPI Wealth senior investment advisor Eric John Endres, the session covered key topics such as budgeting, financial planning, and investment options.
Maria Elena Torrijos, BPI’s Public Affairs and Communications Head, emphasized the bank’s ongoing efforts to broaden its financial education initiatives. “This year, we are taking it a step further by broadening our reach to equip professionals and other sectors with the tools they need to achieve financial security and growth.”
BPI also conducted a ceremonial turnover of examination venue furnishings to PRC XI, aimed at improving the agency’s ability to accommodate licensure exam candidates. PRC XI oversees exams for 46 professions, serving areas such as Davao, Butuan, Koronadal, and Cagayan de Oro.
“At BPI, we understand that managing finances is a deeply personal journey. That is why we are committed to being a constant and reliable partner for Filipinos, helping them achieve their financial goals—whether they are just starting out or already established in their fields. This commitment aligns with our vision of building a better Philippines—one family, one community at a time,” Torijos added.
