BPI OKs P1.6-billion loan for Manila Water unit

Manila Water Company Inc.’s subsidiary, Laguna AAAWater Corp. (Laguna Water), has successfully obtained a P1.6-billion loan from the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) to support its capital expenditures until 2025.

The 10-year term loan facility, signed by Laguna Water, will be used to partially fund the company’s expansion and enhancement of water infrastructure in its service areas.

Laguna Water, jointly owned by Manila Water Philippine Ventures Inc. (MWPV) and the provincial government of Laguna, has been engaged in several joint ventures and projects related to water supply and sanitation.
