The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) Escolta branch has been designated an Important Cultural Property (ICP) by the National Museum of the Philippines and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts.
The building has a distinctive half-dome and futuristic design constructed in 1969 by the late National Artist for Architecture Jose Maria Zaragoza,
This designation highlights its remarkable cultural, artistic, and historical significance, joining other BPI branches at historical landmarks like the BPI Escolta Santa Cruz branch, built in 1894, and the BPI Cebu Main branch, constructed in 1924, in preserving the nation’s architectural heritage.
