BDO Unibank is easing up on fees for foreign exchange transactions on select credit cards.
The bank owned by the bilyonaryo Sy family announced a reduced forex conversion fee for its elite cardholders. By August 1, 2025, the conversion fee will be reduced to 1.85% for dollar and other foreign currency transactions. Currently, the fee is nearly 2% of the value of the swipe.
The special rate will apply to users of BDO World Elite Mastercard, Platinum Mastercard, Visa Platinum, Platinum Card by Amex, Amex Platinum Credit Card, Amex Gold Card, JCB Platinum, and Diners Club Premiere credit cards issued by the bank.
