BDO prices $500M notes at 4.375% on $1.6 billion in orders
BDO Unibank Inc. strengthened its foothold in the international debt market with the successful pricing of a $500 million five-year fixed-rate senior notes issuance, a deal that drew strong interest from global investors.
Launched under the bank’s Medium-Term Note program, the offer attracted orders of about US$1.6 billion or more than 3.2 times the target size, underscoring sustained investor confidence in the Philippines’ largest lender.
The notes were priced with a 4.375% annual coupon and are expected to carry a “Baa2” rating from Moody’s, aligning with BDO’s long-standing investment-grade profile. The bank expects the issuance to settle on December 3, 2025.
The fresh dollar funding will help support lending activities and bolster the bank’s broader balance-sheet requirements as it scales business operations.
Standard Chartered Bank served as the sole global coordinator for the deal, while Standard Chartered, MUFG, and Wells Fargo Securities acted as joint bookrunners and joint lead managers.
