BDO Unibank Inc. headed by bankero Nestor Tan has pirated a top executive of Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. (RCBC) led by bankero Eugene Acevedo.
The country’s largest lender owned by the family of the late taipan Henry Sy has hired Marita Eliazar Bueno as senior vice president for investor relations and corporate planning group/data analytics effective June 16.
Bueno has tendered her resignation as first senior vice president from the Yuchengco-led bank effective June 1 to pursue other endeavors.
Bueno has more than 27 years of work experience in the banking industry, having recently served as first senior vice president and chief data scientist as well as group head of data science and analytics at RCBC since March 2019.
Bueno also served at senior vice president and group head of data science at Union Bank of the Philippines headed by bankero Edwin Bautista between August 2015 and February 2019.
Bueno was also with Citibank Asia Pacific Singapore and Hong Kong occupying various positions from September 2007 to July 2015.
Bueno graduated magna cum laude with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration – Qualitative Analysis at St. John’s University, New York.
At the same meeting, the Board of Directors of BDO noted the resignation of senior vice president and head of treasury group effective last April 25.
