The Korean Embassy announced on January 30, 2024 easier visa requirements in four categories. From February 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Philippines will simplify visa applications for specific individuals, including BDO Gold or BDO Elite Credit Card Holders.
The updated policy also covers elected politicians, government officials, and professional license holders. Only the specified financial documents will be exempted or replaced for those meeting the conditions; other required documents remain unchanged.
For BDO Gold and BDO Elite Credit Card Holders and their immediate family, bank certificates, bank statements, and ITR are exempt. However, proof of relationship remains necessary. Exempted documents can still be submitted if preferred.
Required visa application documents include an original certificate of employment, a front copy of the credit card, and copies of the latest three months’ credit card account monthly billing statements.
Supplementary card holders are not included in the exemptions.
