Banking regulators have sought the inclusion of two additional financial reform bills in the priority list under the Marcos administration, making a total of 44 measures endorsed by the Legislative Executive Development Advisory Council (LEDAC).
House Bills 7446 and 7393, which focus on amendments to the Bank Deposits Secrecy Law and the Anti Financial Accounts Scamming Act respectively, are currently pending in the lower chamber.
So far, the House has approved 33 out of the 42 LEDAC-listed measures, with 18 more on the agenda, while the remaining four measures are pending.
Speaker Martin Romualdez assured that the House will take prompt action on these pending measures to support the President’s vision of improving the economy and enhancing the welfare of Filipino citizens.
