The journalist said he wants an investigation on unauthorized fund transfers amounting to P15million.
TV journalist and entrepreneur Anthony “Ka Tunying” Taberna called out the seeming inaction of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) on the complaint he formally filed last year against EastWest Bank on alleged unauthorized electronic fund transfers. The transaction, amounting to P15.38 million which he said was start-up funds, was allegedly transferred from the bank accounts of his company to the personal accounts of his former finance chief. He cited the lack of due diligence from East West Corporation, but said that the BSP “did nothing”. He said he filed a case against the branch manager, but the regulatory body has not done anything for over a year now. BSP has yet to respond on his complaint.
