Agribusiness Rural Bank Inc. (Agribank), a subsidiary of the Ropali Group of Companies, has increased its digital initiatives with the implementation of a Digital Management System (DMS).
The bank aims to expand its market reach and grow its business this year.
Agribank has turned to Oradian for a comprehensive cloud-based core banking solution and has also subscribed to Amazon Web Services for additional security measures. The bank is continuously developing new products to meet the changing needs of the market, including overseas Filipino workers, small business owners, and farmers.
Last year, Agribank introduced its mobile app, which streamlines processes and makes it easier for depositors in remote areas to switch from traditional banking methods to app-based transactions.
Agribank President and CEO Danny Boy Antonio stated that the bank will continue to improve its services as it prepares for even more growth in 2023. Meanwhile, Lea Yamballa, Agribank’s Chief Executive Vice President and Revenue Officer, added that the bank will continue to provide more Filipinos with access to financial services that are not only accessible but also competitive in terms of rates and product features.
“We recently upgraded our system to Amazon Web Services for a more secure banking experience and to keep our promise of being a rural bank that cares. We began by enhancing the safety of our core banking system, which will be followed by a series of upgrades and enhancements within our operational systems,” Yamballa said.
Agribank aims to grow as a responsible and innovative business that makes banking accessible to all Filipinos through its mobile app. The bank, which was founded in 1978 in Sta. Fe, Nueva Vizcaya, has since expanded to over 33 branches and branch lite units nationwide, offering deposit and loan products at competitive rates.
Its parent, Ropali Group, is a mid-sized conglomerate that specializes in motorcycle and agricultural machinery trading.
