Access benefits and banking anytime, anywhere with MySSS Card

The Social Security System (SSS) and Union Bank of the Philippines (UnionBank) will soon roll out the MySSS Card, a dual-purpose ID and Visa debit card aimed at streamlining benefits disbursement and expanding financial access for millions for Filipinos.

The card will allow members to receive SSS benefits, loans, and refunds directly into a UnionBank savings account.

Cardholders can apply through the UnionBank Online app, with full support for digital payments, mobile banking, and global transactions.

“This partnership marks a major step forward in making government services more accessible and efficient for our members,” said Robert Joseph M. De Claro, President and CEO of SSS. “The MySSS Card empowers our members with a secure and convenient way to receive their benefits, while also serving as an official SSS-recognized ID.”

The initiative aims to serve digitally savvy Filipinos while also reaching the unbanked population.

“Together with SSS, we are once again reimagining what banking can be like for millions of Filipinos,” said Ana Aboitiz Delgado, UnionBank president and CEO. “This new product will allow SSS members with a Philsys ID to get a MySSS card, broadening the eligible base to over 40 million Filipinos. We are proud to be partners in this initiative that enhances financial inclusion.”

No official release date for the MySSS Card has been announced.
