Gotianun-led East West Banking Corp. has appointed veteran banker Jesus Angelo Gomez to head its Consumer Lending Cluster.
The bank’s board approved Gomez’s appointment as executive vice president effective Sept. 8, 2026.
Gomez has more than 28 years of experience in credit risk management, banking operations, analytics, technology and digital transformation.
He previously served as president of Cebuana Lhuillier Rural Bank and held senior positions at Bank of the Philippine Islands, BDO Unibank and Citibank, where his roles covered credit risk, portfolio management, credit operations and business transformation.
Gomez also served as chairman and president of the Credit Card Association of the Philippines.
“The Board believes that Gomez’s extensive banking experience and leadership expertise will contribute significantly to the bank’s continued growth and strategic objectives,” EastWest said in a statement.
