State-run Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) has partnered with the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) to widen access to financing for agrarian reform beneficiaries and farmer groups nationwide.
Under a memorandum of understanding, DBP will provide financing support to Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs) and link them with state universities and colleges for capacity-building programs.
The partnership aims to strengthen farmer organizations, improve agricultural productivity and help beneficiaries develop their farm products and livelihoods.
DAR said the partnership would complement land distribution with access to financing and other development support aimed at raising farmers’ incomes and improving their livelihoods.
