Dominic Cabangon leaves Citystate Savings board after 26 year-stint

Fortune Life Insurance Company Inc. president Dominic Arnold Cabangon has resigned from the board of Citystate Savings Bank Inc. after more than 26 years, the lender said.

Cabangon, a son of the late Ambassador Antonio Cabangon Chua, stepped down as director effective Aug. 26 for personal reasons, according to a regulatory filing. He had served on the bank’s board since April 2000.

The 56-year-old executive is also president of FIG Financing Company Inc. and chairman of DAAC Realty & Development Corp.

He holds directorships in several companies, including Philippines Graphic Publication Inc., Manila Grand Opera Hotel Inc., Asian Security & Investigation Agency Inc., Chow Rite Foods Inc., Gencars Batangas Inc., ALC Industrial & Commercial Development Corp., ALC Baliwag Cinema & Shopping Complex Inc., Paco Filipinas Pawnshop Manila Inc., Aliw Management Ventures Inc. and Fortune General Insurance Corp.

Cabangon graduated from Ateneo de Manila University in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in Management Economics.

Citystate Savings separately announced the resignation of Mylynne Estupin as head of its Corporate Services Group and Human Resources, effective Aug. 31.

The bank’s board also approved the appointment of Marcel Cabrera as a non-voting member of its Information Technology and Communications Strategy Committee.

In September 2025, Hong Kong-listed CSC Holdings Ltd., through CS Capital Investment Pte. Ltd., completed the acquisition of a 26.3% stake in Citystate Savings for 736.68 million pesos.
