State-run Land Bank of the Philippines has resumed operations in Cebu and Masbate and released ₱4.9 million in financial aid following Severe Tropical Storm Opong (Bualoi) and a magnitude 6.9 earthquake.
Land Bank president and CEO Lynette Ortiz said the bank is extending emergency support to farmers, fishers, MSMEs, and wage earners to help speed recovery.
All branches are now open except one in Aroroy, Masbate, which remains closed due to a power outage.
The bank’s relief programs include loans for affected households, government workers, and small businesses.
