BDO Unibank has wrapped up its latest ASEAN Sustainability Bonds offering ahead of schedule due to strong demand from both retail and institutional investors.
Originally set to run from July 9 to 22, 2025, the offer period was cut short on July 14, reflecting high investor interest in the bank’s fourth peso-denominated sustainability bond issuance.
The bonds have a 1.5-year term and offer a fixed annual rate of 5.875%. The issuance, settlement, and listing are scheduled for July 29, 2025.
Proceeds from the bonds will be used to finance or refinance eligible green and social projects under BDO’s Sustainable Finance Framework, support its lending operations, and help diversify its funding sources.
ING Bank N.V. Manila Branch served as the Sole Arranger and Sustainability Coordinator, while BDO and ING were Selling Agents. BDO Capital & Investment Corporation acted as the Financial Advisor.
The strong response highlights investor confidence in both BDO’s financial performance and its commitment to sustainability-driven growth.
