IMF: Philippines on track for 6.1% growth

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) on Tuesday maintained its forecast for the Philippine economy, projecting 6.1% growth in 2024 and 6.3% in 2026.

The IMF cited disinflation, easing monetary policy, and strong public spending as key drivers of the projected expansion.

The fund acknowledged potential risks including commodity price volatility, supply chain disruptions, and global monetary tightening.

The Philippine economy has shown resilience despite these challenges, the IMF said.
