BDO Unibank is financing the acquisition of additional electric trucks by the logistics firm Mober.
The bank owned by the bilyonaryo Sy family recently signed a loan deal to support Mober’s purchase of 60 new electric trucks to boost its current fleet of 50 electric vehicles.
Mober has positioned itself as the country’s biggest sustainable logistics company. Its clients include international brands like Nestlé, Starbucks and Ikea.
Led by Chief Executive Officer Dennis Ng, Mober aims to further grow its fleet to 240 electric trucks by March 2025.
“This landmark agreement with Mober underscores BDO’s efforts to promote the country’s transition to a more sustainable economic growth,” the bank said in a statement.
