China Banking Corp. (Chinabank), the banking arm of the Sy family, brought former employees back together as part of celebrations marking its 106th anniversary.
The lender hosted its first “Retirees’ Salo-Salo sa Anibersaryo,” a gathering honoring former employees who contributed to the bank over the years.
“Honoring the people who helped shape our story,” Chinabank said in a social media post.
The event gave retirees an opportunity to reconnect with former colleagues and reminisce about their years at the bank. Activities included games, social gatherings and raffle draws.
“Because once a Chinabanker, always a Chinabanker,” the lender said.
Several retirees also expressed hopes that the gathering would become an annual event, according to Chinabank.
